Blog #10 - ERIC Research Project
The ERIC Research projects have been interesting and informing about technology that is available. I find it worthwhile to know all the tehnology that can be used in the classroom, not only to benefit you as the teacher, but also to improve the students education. I plan to use everything (if it is available) in my classroom and I wish every school district would have all of this technological equipment. Although some of it can be found online, not everything will be and that can be inconvient. That is really my only concern is that I will not be able to use this technology because the school district does not have it. Other than that concern, I am looking forward to the future and can't wait to graduate so I can become a teacher.

I think that technology is definitely something that would be worthwhile implementing into our future classrooms. It would be nice if we could be in top notch schools, so that our students can get the highest education in technology possible. As teachers, I am sure we will have to be creative because not all schools are going to have the appropriate amount of computers available for our use. I am hoping as well, that my school will not be dependent only on the internet as means for technology integration, but we will have access to various programs that we are learning about in class!
I agree with your opinion that technology is a great resource for teachers to use in the classroom, and that I too plan on using it as much as possible. I also share the same concern that the school district I come into does not have readily available technology for me to implement into my classroom. Have you thought of other ways you can implement technology if it isn't offered through your district? Great job!!!
I agree with you on your opinion of the ERIC research projects. It was a great way for us to research about different technology that can be used in an early childhood classroom as well as pros and cons and issues that involve different devices. I hope to utilize technology that will help my students advance in different areas. I also hope to receive a job in an area that is able to offer me a wide range of different technologies to use. Is there any device that you know you want to use for sure in your classroom? I think I want to be able to have at least one digital camera. I have learned a great deal about how to incorporate them into the curriculum and how much they can enhance different activities.
I too thought the ERIC presentations were good to have seen and done. It was interesting to hear what others had to say about their research. I would love to be able to use a lot of what they had to say in my future classroom. However, we all know that will nto be the case. Some of us will be lucky to have even one computer in the classroom. But maybe we can learn to write grants or look for other funding to bring in money for technology.
